Daïga has left her native Lithuania to take a chance on a career as an actress in Paris. With no money and little connections, she finds shelter in a hotel in the 18th arrondissement. That summer, a serial killer attacking older women is on the loose in the neighbourhood.
Claire Denis is without argument one of the most influential voices of modern French cinema. Her third film J’ai pas sommeil, was presented in Cannes in 1994.
