Cross-Channel [by ECME Chamber]

The Edinburgh Contemporary Music Ensemble (ECME) was founded 10 years ago in order to provide a platform to emerging composers and musicians wishing to explore new sounds, with the motto ’all music was once new music!’.

Since then ECME has performed more than 30 orchestral works by composers at the threshold of their careers, an output recognised as an ’astonishing range of new music by some of the hottest young talent in Scotland’ (The Scotsman).

For this concert ECME celebrates contemporary chamber music in all its shapes and forms with a special programme showcasing both French and UK composers living in Scotland.
