Cinema : La Haine

31/01/2013

| Free

In the second in a series of weekly radical film screenings, we will be showing ‘La Haine’, a powerful film about the alienation and injustice felt by immigrant youth in the suburban housing schemes of Paris – and the rebellion that follows.

Afterwards, EUSA BME officer Pete Ramand will lead a discussion on the film’s global legacy in an era of mass youth revolts, from the Arab revolutions to the anti-austerity riots that have swept Europe in recent years.

This event is free and open to all, although get there early though if you want a seat as we were at capacity last week!

See you all there!
